Cheap, clean energy for life.

Have you noticed the growing number of houses in your neighbourhood with solar panels? Solar Photovoltaic (Solar PV for short) is the world’s most popular and productive source of renewable energy.

Driven by worldwide demand the cost of high-quality solar panels has fallen dramatically making them an even more affordable choice for supplying much of the electricity you use in your home. Lights, heating, hot water, entertainment devices, home and garden appliances can all be solar powered, so you’ll need to buy much less electricity from your energy supplier.

Send us your full address – we’ll calculate your premises’ suitability for solar PV.

We’ll contact you within 1 week following our desktop study – if you like our estimate of your potential long-term solar PV investment we can then arrange a site survey and a full, no obligation quotation.

The estimate is free. And more importantly, it’s honest. If we don’t see an advantage for you after our study we’ll tell you.

The cost of solar is falling.

The volume of solar panels manufactured and the advancements in technology has now made them significantly cheaper to buy than in previous years. Inverter technology has undergone a similar revolution. In short, solar PV has never been a better and more secure investment to bring the benefits of green power to business efficiency.

Frequently Asked Questions
01.What does it cost?

The price of an installation will vary considerably depending on roof area and system size installed.

Factors like roof access costs, roof type, roof pitch and orientation can all influence the cost. It’s important that we know your specific requirements because that’ll help us design and cost a system that most accurately meets your present and future needs.

We can carry out a desktop study remotely and come up with an estimate and a calculation of your annual system production. We’re always happy to provide free advice and supply a competitive written quotation.

02.What is system monitoring?

With continuing advances in product technology, it is now possible to not only monitor the performance of your PV system, but also the consumption of electricity you draw from the grid.

This monitoring is viewed via a web portal and is monitored both by our customers and Cobra Solar support staff in our offices. This available data allows us to not only accurately see how the system is performing, but also have the data necessary to evaluate battery storage, hot water heating and level of export back to the grid. This ensures that you are receiving the maximum financial and environmental returns from your system.

03.Which solar panels do we use?

Each Solar PV system is designed to suit the individual circumstances of the property. PV panels are available in monocrystalline or polycrystalline and any panel that Cobra Solar uses will be independently rated as a Tier 1 MCS Approved product.

04.How do home solar systems work?

A photovoltaic (PV) solar energy system is composed of solar panels, appropriate mounting system for the panels on the roof, electrical wiring, an inverter and system monitoring.

From sunrise to sunset, the solar panels generate direct current electricity (DC) which is sent to the inverter. The inverter converts the DC into alternating current (AC), the type of electricity required for household use. Then, the AC power is delivered directly to your home’s main electrical service panel for use by you and your family.
